Discover the Fascinating Development of Novel Contrast Agents for MRI in one of the MIC Festivals Hands-On Sessions

Not registered yet? Hurry up, because it’s happening in just one week!

We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting hands-on session at the 6th MIC Festival, where you will delve into the cutting-edge world of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents. This unique session will provide an in-depth look at the synthesis, chemical characterization, and preclinical evaluation of novel non-Gadolinium-based MRI contrast agents.

Session Highlights:

- Synthesis and Chemical Characterization: Gain hands-on experience in creating and analyzing new non-Gadolinium MRI contrast agents.
- Preclinical Evaluation: Learn to administer these agents in preclinical mouse models using our groundbreaking “Tail Vein Injection Phantom”. This innovative training model, developed by the University of Zürich, is the first of its kind in the world.
- Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI: Participate in the quantification process of one of the most significant modalities in medical imaging. You'll be guided through generating population-based arterial input functions and creating quantitative parameter maps.

This session promises to be a fascinating journey into the realm of MRI technology, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Whether you are a student, researcher, or professional in the field of medical imaging, this hands-on experience will enrich your understanding and expertise.

Join us to explore the future of MRI contrast agents and their pivotal role in advancing medical diagnostics!

Date & Time: June 13, 2024, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Location: Van Swieten Saal
